When Confidence Shakes at Work

Today at work was going smoothly—until around 7:30, when I was questioned about not doing enough digging before posting a question. It’s not the first time this has happened. And to be honest, it really rubbed me the wrong way.

These kinds of moments tend to cut deep. They chip away at my confidence and make me question whether I’m truly supported by the team. In those moments, motivation evaporates—especially the drive to lead by example or to show up wholeheartedly for others.

It’s hard not to internalize criticism, especially when it feels repetitive or unjust. But even in the sting, I’m learning to pause, breathe, and ask God to help me respond rather than react. Not every challenge is an indictment of my character—some are invitations to lean harder into grace.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9

Closing Prayer

Lord, help me not to give up—on the work, on the people, or on the belief that even when it’s hard, You are still shaping something good in me.
