Teamwork and Trust: When God Goes Before Us

This past week, Cata reminded me that it was going to be a busy one—training scheduled Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Knowing this, we took a moment over the weekend to pray and place it all in the Lord’s hands.

And as He always does, He went before us.

With the training sessions and both of us juggling work responsibilities while caring for the girls, we knew it would require flexibility, patience, and a good deal of grace. During her sessions, I got creative with my breaks and lunch—maximizing those windows to be present with the girls. We went outside, had an early bath, and leaned into the rhythm of what each day allowed.

Even in the workplace, I found myself shifting between our downstairs and upstairs setups—just trying to make everything flow. Through it all, I kept whispering, Thank you, Lord, for the strength and courage You’ve given us—for going ahead of us in this week with both work and parenting.

There are still moments when we both feel tired. Moments when we glance at the clock and wonder how we’ll make it through the next 15 minutes. But grace carries us. Teamwork holds us up. And God—He never fails to lead the way.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” — Deuteronomy 31:8

Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for going ahead of us. For preparing the path even before we step onto it. When the hours feel long and the energy runs low, remind us that You are near—strengthening our hands and quieting our hearts. May we keep leaning on You in all things. Amen.
